The Cryptolaemus ladybug larvae are a highly effective, biological solution for controlling mealybugs on indoor ornamental plants. These pests suck plant sap and further weaken the plants by excreting honeydew.
The Australian ladybug (Cryptolaemus montrouzieri) is a natural enemy of mealybugs. Even in the larval stage, these beneficial insects show an enormous feeding capacity – a single development can eliminate up to 300 mealybugs. This quickly and sustainably reduces infestation, entirely without chemical agents.
The application takes place directly on the plant and is ideal for houseplants such as poinsettia, Saintpaulia, or other sensitive ornamental plants. A sufficiently warm environment is important for the beneficial insects to be optimally active.
