Luwasa Blähton
Inorganic substrate
Luwasa expanded clay is kidney-shaped. The expanded clay from Luwasa consists of low-salt clays. This means the hydro balls need to be washed less. It has a comparatively low weight. It does not store any water or nutrients, but conducts them on its surface to the roots of the plant. The structurally stable expanded clay is baked at high temperatures in drum ovens. Another advantage of Luwasa expanded clay is that the hydro balls are very bulky, which gives the plant more support.

Swiss hydroponics since the 1960s

Since then, Luwasa has been combining nature with smart technology, bringing it intelligently into our interiors. The outdoors are inside, and the inside feels like the outdoors.
