The first large delivery of goods recently arrived directly at our new store – and I must honestly say: I could get used to this very quickly.
In the past, every delivery meant one thing above all: lugging, lugging, and more lugging. Every single bag had to be carried over several thresholds, sometimes hauled up stairs, and later carried back down for packaging. Afterwards, it went over thresholds again to the vehicle for shipping.
Fortunately, today it's completely different. The delivery truck drives right to the door, the goods are unloaded and simply wheeled into the warehouse. Everything is on one level – no stairs, no unnecessary detours, and significantly less strenuous physical labor.
Of course, the old location could have been organized differently. But then I would have been freezing at the computer in winter and almost melted on the second floor in summer. You have to make compromises somewhere. At least I got enough exercise – a gym was never an option anyway, time-wise.
But all jokes aside: I love the comfort that the new business offers us. Workflows are much more efficient, everything is logically arranged, and we can concentrate on what really matters – serving you quickly and reliably.
Another huge plus is our covered delivery area. Especially now, when the weather is more hot than rainy, you still notice how pleasant the large covered area is. Goods can be unloaded protected, and even on hot summer days, the canopy provides wonderful shade.
The longer we work here, the more small details we discover that make everyday life easier. You simply notice that this building was planned decades ago with great foresight. After more than 40 years, the concept still works excellently – and we benefit from it every day.
It's precisely these small things, which are hardly visible from the outside, that make daily work enormously easier. And that's why we look forward to the opening of our new GrowTastic Store a little more every day.
